Building makeover with ANEW and i.am College Track – Boyle Heights

Our most recent success story, i.am college track was an extreme makeover of two crumbling modular buildings at Roosevelt High School in Boyle Heights.

Led by i.am college track co-director and teacher extraordinaire Enrique Legaspi, the dream of giving these high school graduates a respectable learning environment with a creative twist was brought to life by several amazing individuals and companies. Our thanks to the professionals who provided pro bono expertise: architect Mitch Sawasy of Sawasy Studio Partners and Warner Constructors did a wonderful job; check the before & after photos. Bentley Prince Street provided beautiful new carpeting; ANEW donated furniture with Ben Argumendo of Golden B.A. Upholstery doing an amazing job refurbishing it, et voila – dream lab realized!
