ANEW Mission

To be a catalyst for positive change in liquidation practices, creating awareness of the social, environmental and economic benefits of surplus stewardship, and providing sustainable solutions through leadership and education.

Social Sustainability – the ANEW Dynamic

We are ANEW. Founded in 2005, we started the movement. ANEW is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization that’s doing what’s right with what’s left®. We empower companies to reject the status quo of liquidation to landfill, instead offering sustainable surplus stewardship solutions that include resale, recycling, and repurposing furniture, fixtures & equipment and stewarding them to charities, non-profits, public agencies and underserved communities.

We educate through action. By working directly with companies to serve their diverse interests, our work bolsters the triple bottom line: people, planet, prosperity. We serve the needs of the community by stewarding perfectly good surplus resources that would otherwise go to landfill. Among our recipient organizations are The American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Goodwill, Girl Scouts of America, Autism Speaks, Los Angeles Food Bank, and over 800 more in 20 countries. These donations, paired with recycling and reselling materials, help mitigate climate change, strengthen communities, and provide financial benefits to our clients.

The traditional practice of liquidation leads to landfill, so we reinvented it. ANEW leads with surplus stewardship.
