Los Angeles, CA – June 3, 2014: ANEW is pleased to announce a new Patron Sponsor, Goodwill Southern California, as well as an increase in support from current sponsors PARALLELTEK and Antea Group, USA.

Santa Fe Springs-based technology company PARALLELTEK is raising its level of support from Patron Sponsor to Sustaining Sponsor. Antea Group, USA is also moving its level of sponsorship from Alchemist Sponsor to Patron Sponsor.

“The support from these amazing companies is truly astounding and I am humbled by their commitment to our mission,” says Rose Tourje, founder & president of ANEW. “Sponsorship makes our work possible and we can’t do what we do without the vision of organizations like Goodwill Southern California, and leading companies like PARALLELTEK and Antea Group, USA. By pledging their support, they are making a tangible difference in the lives of so many and we are honored to be in partnership with them.”

PARALLELTEK has been a sponsor of ANEW for one year, however, President Anthony Minite has been a supporter of ANEW since its earliest days and also serves as the Chairman of the board of directors for the organization.

“We are thrilled to be able to increase our financial support for ANEW,” says Anthony Minite, president of PARALELTEK.  “ANEW has been making great strides in the A&D industry but there is so much more that needs to be done by way of awareness and action.  I am proud to say that everyone at PARALLELTEK believes in this mission and shares my commitment to social sustainability.”

ANEW provides socially responsible and environmentally sustainable solutions to companies in need of cost and time saving alternatives regarding their corporate surplus furniture and materials. Items that can be resold are considered first, to lower the costs of labor, then items are identified for repurposing and matched to non-profits, public agencies and underserved communities. What is left is then recycled, thus avoiding landfill. Since its inception nine years ago, ANEW has established a national network of top, professional service provider companies and itself as a single-source, first-ever “take-back and report-back” solution. The organization coordinates the entire process from the decommission strategy, removal and stewardship of surplus. All projects include independent third-party review for verification of the project metrics for corporate annual reports. With a primary focus on strengthening communities, ANEW has served over 700 organizations in 20 countries.

To date, ANEW has diverted over 13 million pounds of materials from landfill.
