ANEW & Kaiser Permanente steward surplus items to organizations from California all the way to Zambia, South Africa

We’re very happy with the results of our recently completed project with Kaiser Permanente Oakland. The recipient organizations listed below received thousands of surplus items from Kaiser through ANEW.

668,949 pounds of surplus were diverted from landfill through recycling and repurposing, and put to good use in non-profits, charities and public agencies in the Bay Area and Zambia:

  • World Vision – Sewickley, PA
  • Urban Tilth – Richmond, CA
  • Berkeley Youth Living With Disabilities – Berkeley, CA
  • Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency – Berkeley, CA
  • Hope Collaborative – Oakland, CA
  • RYSE Center – Richmond, CA
  • YMCA East Bay – Richmond, CA
  • Building Blocks for Kids Collaborative (YMCA) – Richmond, CA
  • The Latina Center – Richmond, CA
  • Street Level Health Project – Oakland, CA
  • Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center Inc – Hayward, CA
