Board Recognizes Leadership in Commercial Real Estate and Community Outreach
[Pasadena, CA – March 10, 2014] Asset Network for Education Worldwide (ANEW) is pleased to announce the appointment of Rock Macke, Director of Global Real Estate Operations, Resources Global Professionals (RGP), to its Board of Directors.
As a leader in integrated sustainable practices in the commercial real estate field, Macke’s appointment to the ANEW board is a natural choice.
Macke’s comprehensive approach integrating cost, site selection and design, brand identity and sustainability is a natural fit with ANEW. “Serving on the ANEW Board is truly a privilege and honor! Their mission has been near and dear to my heart – long before I had even heard of ANEW,” says Macke. “My participation with ANEW is just another example of the Universe unfolding as it should.”
“Rock and I go back many years professionally, during which time he has become a very close friend. He is one of the most creative corporate real estate executives I have ever had the privilege of working with and knows every facet of our industry,” says ANEW Senior Advisor Serge Vishmid. “We look forward to his input, vision and support.”
“I am honored to be in the company of such intelligent and experienced individuals who share the same passion for changing how business gets done through service and social change, and Rock is no exception,” says Anthony Minite, ANEW board chairman. “He is such a perfect fit for what we are doing at ANEW; he’s smart, connected and committed to our mission.”
ANEW provides companies with environmental and socially sustainable solutions for surplus materials. The organization coordinates the entire process from the removal and redirecting of surplus all the way through independent third-party review project metrics for corporate annual reports. To date, ANEW has diverted over 13 million pounds of materials from landfill, instead stewarding it to serve over 700 organizations in 20 countries.
